How to Rock Pantone’s Color of the Year & Giveaway

I'm more of a fan of sweet white wine. Actually, my husband jokes that if it tastes like Kool-Aid, I'm going to like it, but I have been branching out and drinking more "adult wine" recently. I have become a big fan of a red zinfandel, so I was pleased to hear that the Pantone color of the year was Marsala! Now I can be fashionable with every sip this year and kick my sweet white wine habit. Much like the fortified wine that gives Marsala its name, this tasteful hue embodies the satisfying richness of a fulfilling meal, while its grounding red-brown roots emanate a sophisticated, natural earthiness. According to Latrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, "This hearty, yet stylish tone is universally appealing and translates easily to fashion, beauty, industrial design, home furnishings and interiors."

New Look

Welcome back, loves. I am finally sharing a new outfit post after a week of not posting anything here. Today, I am sharing a new outfit post + a new hairstyle! You probably noticed something different  going on with my hair. Yes, there is something different. I booked an appointment with my hairstylist and told her I wanted to cut some bangs. She ended up doing a layered-fringe and added a few more layers on the sides to frame the face. 

¡Hola chicas! Estoy muy feliz de estar de regreso después de una semana sin publicar nada. Hoy quería compartir con ustedes un nuevo atuendo y también contarles acerca de mi nuevo estilo de cabello. Probablemente notaron algo diferente, pues sí, les cuento que decidí hacerme el famoso fleco o "fringe". Sentía que ya era hora de hacerme un pequeño cambio y venia contemplando la idea de cortarme el fleco desde hace un tiempo.

Pink Blazer

Another day, another casual look. Lately I've been loving this shade of blush pink, and I have the perfect excuse since it is a big trend for spring (see more of the trend here). I wanted to keep this look very neutral and soft, so I added a cream-colored lace top and a pair of ripped boyfriend jeans. I liked how the light blue shade from the jeans compliments the other colors in this look. For the accessories, I added a nude pair of heels and my Rebecca Minkoff MAC Handbag. 

Hoy les comparto otro look casual. Últimamente me ha gustado mucho usar este tono de rosa suave, y lo bueno es que tengo la excusa perfecta ya que es una de las tendencias para esta primavera (vean más de esta tendencia aquí). Para el look de hoy, quería incorporar colores muy neutrales y suaves por lo cual escogí usar una blusa de encaje o "lace" color crema y un par de jeans estilo boyfriend. Me gustó como el azul claro de los jeans complementa los demás colores en este atuendo. Para completar el look, escogí accesorios neutrales como el bolso de Rebecca Minkoff.

Pink Valentine

The month of February has always been really special for me. Not only because I get to celebrate love & friendship, but it is also my birthday month. Celebrating love and friendship is something that we should do everyday, however there's something so special about February 14th. Whether you have a date or you're celebrating with friends, I thought I'd share a cute and flirty look to give you some inspiration for that special day. 

El mes de febrero siempre ha sido muy especial para mi. Además de ser el mes del amor y la amistad, es también el mes de mi cumpleaños. Celebrar el amor y la amistad es algo que debemos hacer todos los días, pero aún así encuentro que hay algo sumamente especial en el 14 de febrero. Ya sea que tengan una cena romántica o un salida entre amigos, les quería compartir este atuendo que las hará lucir muy lindas y coquetas en ese día especial.

Birthday Girl

You guys, I am 26 years old! I'm still trying to get used to the idea of saying that out loud and I have to admit it feels really weird. Anyways, I wanted to share a few snaps from my birthday celebration and also show you guys what I wore. 

Todavía me estoy acostumbrando a la idea de decir que tengo 26 años y tengo que admitir que se siente super raro. Aún estoy en esa etapa de que cuando me pregunten mi edad voy a decir 25...jaja... ¿no les pasa lo mismo? Ya veré como me acostumbro. Hoy les quería compartir algunas fotos de la celebración y el atuendo que utilicé.

I love the combination of soft pink and gold so that's the color scheme I went for. Also, Valentine's Day is just around and I thought this outfit is so cute for a Valentine's day date. This dress is really flirty & fun yet sophisticated. The lace details add the perfect touch and make this dress very romantic and cute.  

Me encanta la combinación del rosado y el color oro así que decidí utilizar esos colores en mi atuendo. Este look también sería perfecto para el día de San Valentin. El vestido es muy divertido y los detalles de encaje le dan el toque perfecto.

Casual Stripes

As I get ready to celebrate my birthday tomorrow (yay!) I wanted to share this casual and laid back look with you guys. I love pairing a striped sweater, a cute cardigan and boyfriend jeans. I think it is a very classic combination that looks good on any season. A look like this one is perfect for the weekend or for a day out with friends. 

Mientras me preparo para celebrar mi cumpleaños mañana (¡ya estoy viejita!) les quería compartir este atuendo casual y cómodo. Me encanta esta combinación ya que es un look clásico que funciona para cualquier estación del año. Un atuendo como este sería perfecto para el fin de semana o para una salida con los amigos.

Sporty Chic

This past weekend I got to wear this outfit to have lunch with some really good friends. We went to one of my favorite sushi restaurants near Purdue University and then we tried a new bubble tea place. It was great to spend quality time with my friends since I don't get to see them very often. Moving on to the look, one of my favorite things to do when the weekend arrives is keeping my outfits very comfortable and relaxed. Some of my weekend go-to pieces are a cute pair of sneakers, a cozy jacket and skinny jeans. For this look I added a cozy leopard print scarf since it was a bit cold. 

En esta publicación les quería mostrar el atuendo que utilize durante el fin de semana para ir a comer con unas buenas amistades. Fuimos a mi restaurante de sushi favorito cerca de la Universidad de Purdue y también probamos un lugar nuevo en el que sirven bubble tea. Me encanto ver a mis amigos, ya que no los veía desde hace un tiempo, y pasar un buen rato con ellos. Ahora hablando un poco sobre el atuendo, los fines de semana me encanta utilizar ropa casual y cómoda. Algunas de mis piezas favoritas son un par de zapatos cómodos (usualmente flats o sneakers), un abrigo y un par de skinny jeans. Para este look añadí una bufanda para protegerme del frío.
